The UAE is far ahead in teleworking

Many of us have spent a lot of time at home over the past year, and for some, home has even become the office. However, according to a recent study, the UAE is proving to be a leading telework country in the region.

In fact, the country is doing better than some others such as Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, Ireland, Malaysia, Russia, the USA and China! The study was based on the Digital Nomad Index which analyses several factors such as internet and mobile speed, visas offered (such as working holiday visas), acceptance of foreigners, average price of a flat or room and the World Happiness Score. Looking at the rankings, the UAE is 1st in the Middle East and 31st overall. It is worth noting that the country was ranked 2nd, behind Singapore, on the criterion of affordable and reliable internet connections and thus helping the population to stay connected.
